RVE 4 inch Hood Dump Direct turbo discharge. Cast bellmouth construction. Backpurged welds. The RVE 4 inch Hood Dump brings a larger hood exit configuration to the Ryan’sViews exhaust lineup. The upcoming production version combines 304 stainless steel tubing, a cast turbo outlet bellmouth, backpurged welds, and an embossed heat shield in a distinctive RVE assembly. Designed around a short exhaust route from the turbocharger to the hood outlet, this configuration makes the exhaust an unmistakable part of the build. Its appeal goes beyond appearance: the production specification puts equal attention into the inlet transition, internal weld protection, and external shielding. Cast turbo outlet bellmouth The production assembly will feature a cast bellmouth forming the transition between the turbocharger outlet and the fabricated pipework. This places the cast component at the entrance to the exhaust assembly, where the turbo outlet geometry transitions into the hood dump. Backpurged weld construction Production pipe joints will be welded with internal backpurging. This process shields the internal weld root from atmospheric oxygen during welding, helping limit oxidation on the inside of the joint. Backpurging is a manufacturing process used to protect the weld as it forms. It complements the external welding process and addresses surfaces that are less accessible after assembly. 304 stainless steel tubing The quoted construction specifies 304 stainless steel with a brushed surface finish. The exposed pipework carries a clean metallic appearance, complemented by the textured shield and RVE identification plate. Embossed heat shield An embossed heat shield forms part of the assembly’s thermal management design and gives the hood dump its characteristic finish. Correct installation clearance and protection of nearby components remain essential. 4 inch configuration This is the 4 inch option in the RVE hood dump lineup. Diameter alone does not determine power gains or turbo response; those results depend on the complete combination and calibration.
